2 Nutz – where did it all begin
The 2 Nutz are Steve Thompson & Dave Spriggs
Dave Spriggs – Dave came relatively late to the world of paid entertainment but was always performing his array of characters at work and in the pub. Persistence paid off and friends and family finally rallied round to create “Crazy Dave & The Waiters”. Dave now had a full live band and wardrobe behind him and finally he was in the spotlight. Sadly due to professional commitments The Waiters went their separate ways, but Dave kept up with his dream and went on to perform in comedy shows “Rock & Roll Mania" and also “Grin & Bare It”. Eventually Dave went full circle and teamed back up with Steve Thompson with whom for the past couple of years they have been thrilling crowds with their unique mixture of comedy and music.
Steve Thompson – an accomplished guitarist and singer, Steve began his musical career with original bands “Reflex” and then “The Sincere Americans” The “Sincere Americans” were offered a recording deal with Tapau management, but sadly the deal fell through. However Steve now had the live music bug and went on to play in a variety of club bands. It was in this time he joined up with Dave Spriggs and other friends to form “Crazy Dave & The Waiters”. This was very much a fun band with Dave Spriggs providing the comedy. Steve then went on to join "Brian Poole & The Electrix" and then on to his current band "Gerry & The Pacemakers", where he tours the world with this 60’s icon. However during time out from these tours he teams up with Dave to form 2 Nutz.
