Some Details...

Amber are originally from Buckinghamshire, but all go to Nottingham University. The oldest members of the band are just twenty years old and they formed towards the end of 2012. The first thing they put online was a cover of Imogen Heap’s Hide & Seek, which gave their burgeoning fan-base a glimpse of what to expect, with their four-part-harmonies and expansive sound.

Releasing their debut 4-track EP in July 2013 really showcases what the band are about and gives a nod to a very exciting future ahead. The five-piece demonstrate their taste for space and melody. They manage to strike a balance between stadium-sized rock and the intimacy and sentiment of folk music. After a few months of writing and demoing, they have honed their sound and have their follow up single planned for release in November 2013.

The title track of this EP has been selected for Radio One’s BBC Introducing playlist, week commencing 9th September. This track was also playlisted on the A list of Amazing Radio, too.

Early support for this young band is coming in thick and fast. The Line of Best Fit, Nylon and Mahogany are all fans and label interest is reaching fever pitch.

Amber are to play the annual ‘Nottingham Rocks’ event at the Theatre Royal. This sees them perform with a 14-piece orchestra. More details, here - http://www.trch.co.uk/index.aspx?articleid=22166

Amber’s first headline show is at The Bodega in Nottingham on the 10th October. A tour is due to be announced next week, which sees them play at the Sebright Arms in London on the 27th November.
