I don't need to go on about his musical tendencies but it's Soul , modern,classic,northern,jazz.
John is well known for his Yardleys Soul night in Belper and is well known around the Derby area.
Hes really fussy about what and how he plays ,his knowledge of this musical area is fantastic.
We have ALAN JONES ROLLS ROYCE DERBY
A PASSIONATE soul fan for years , Alan doesn't really need an introduction to anyone in the East Midlands , but he has a residency at Rolls Royce in Derby where he kicks of the musical magic in the NORTHERN room.
You couldn't wish to meet a nicer person who would give his soul to help fellow Soul Fan.

Started paid Djing at 14 , then escaped to Cornwall in 76 ,yes 1976 CHEEKY , started with 60s Soul 70s Soul including Northern ,then drifted into JAZZFUNK, funk etc ,mainly due to influences such as Cleos and club Vouge in Derby Hector Heathcote.
I sold my kit in the early 80s along with a much missed part of my collection.
I have been active as a trader on the northern soul scene for the past 8 years ,and as a soul show presenter at www.ambersoundfm.com @Paulsoulshow Tuesday's at 9pm.
