Comedy is back at Bartons, Chilwell, Nottingham
on Saturday February 1st for a fun-filled night of laughter.
Headlining is the talented actor, writer, comedian and self-confessed clown Dave Thompson. Known for playing ‘Tinky Winky’ in the Teletubbies as well as both appearing on and writing for Harry Hill, he feels his main achievement is the novel he has written. His one-liners and bizarre take on the world is genuinely laugh out loud material; such is his following that he has become a cult with students.
Support comes from the sweet smiling Angie McEvoy, who behind her charming exterior hides the sharp wit and superb cynicism about the world she lives in. In 2005 she made history by being the first female comedienne to perform stand-up in Russia. Since then she has travelled to numerous countries and all over the UK with her unique style. She is also a talented writer and star of several Radio and TV shows, including appearing on the Richard and Judy show.
Also appearing will be winner of the New Act of The Year Award 2013, Paul F Taylor. His mix of individual wacky, one-liners and dreamlike observations are backed up by his befuddled and zany guise.
Compere for the night is the genial and lively Spiky Mike.
