CITY PULSE 2009
Nottingham City Pulse
Saturday 23 – Monday 25 May 2009
FREE music and dance in Nottingham’s city centre
Visit Nottingham and hear the streets come alive with hit tunes of yesteryear, brought to you by their original artists. There’s something for every generation to relive or discover from 1940s swing, 1960s pop and soul, and Ska revival classics. Plus look out for street music and surprise performances at various locations, new stars in the making, and our special ballroom marquee where you can dust off your dancing shoes.
City Pulse is completely FREE, and is accompanied by a range of offers at bars and restaurants courtesy of Nottingham Leisure Partnership Ltd. So why not bring your family along for a special day out, or simply take a musical break from your shopping over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend?
All City Pulse venues are within easy reach of Nottingham’s Old Market Square - the centre of the city.
As well as City Pulse, Nottingham will also be hosting a feast of evening music events over the weekend, ranging from the ever-popular Dot to Dot Festival (www.dottodot.co.uk) to the Binns Organ recital at the city’s Albert Hall (www.binns.info/events), so you can have fun in the heart of the city, both day and night.
Visit www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/citypulse for more information about artists, locations, performance times and other Spring Bank Holiday music events in Nottingham.
