"We've all been in bands for years playing varying styles. We put this band together so we can play exactly what we want to in the way we want. The three-piece format is a challenge but gives us great musical freedom. Each gig is different, everyone in the band listens well so if one of us goes off on a tangent the others follow. It keeps it fresh and exciting. One minute we're caning the hell out of our gear, the next you can hear a pin drop. The dynamics are intense."

Cliff has worked with leading artists including Rick Lee (Ten Years After), Andy Pyle (Gary Moore), Sarah Ozelle (Jamiraquai, Judy Tzuke), Mick Underwood (Ian Gillan Band) and Sam Kelly (Gary Moore). Cliff was born and raised in York where in his teens he played in several bands including Actual Proof and The Opposites. He met Ian playing in a local big band. Twenty years later he and Ian have rekindled their partnership with the Cliff Brown Band.

Ian is a hugely experienced player with countless gigs and festival appearances to his credit and has a significant presence on the Nottinghamshire music scene. Ian drums with guitarist Matt Chandler's Trio and can be heard on both Matt's critically-acclaimed albums.

Karl Bingham - Bass Guitar
Karl brings an incredible wealth of styles to the band, being equally at home with hard funky grooves or driving rock. He has worked with and is featured on recordings by Pinski Zoo, Matt Chandler, Edwin Star, and has collaborated with Mary Wells and Jean Chandler.
