Formed in 1984 and based in Derbyshire, England, Cold Flame have established themselves over the years as a highly professional and exciting live music act performing original quality blues rock and folk rock music across the country as well as in Europe whilst releasing a number of acclaimed studio and live albums all of which remain available direct from the band. Cold Flame's original blend of electric and acoustic blues, rock and folk rock music continues to attract local and international radio airplay both in the UK, Europe, Australia and South America. During the last few years, the band have played many of the premier venues around the country as well as many music festivals during this time both as a headliner or support act to many premier UK rock and blues bands. They have also been equally at home in the more intimate atmosphere of the many regional blues clubs and smaller venues still promoting quality live music. Additionally, two members of the band have played and recorded with seminal English cult rock group Janus who gained several gold and platinum album awards in the 1970's on the Harvest record label. EMI have now bought the Janus back catalogue and remastered albums have been released recently. Cold Flame have been featured on Sky and terrestrial T.V. music specials and performed with members of the famous River Dance troupe. Apart from headlining indoor and outdoor venues across the country and in Europe, Cold Flame have supported numerous UK and American rock, prog and blues acts in the country including The Hamsters, Curved Air, Osibisa, Dr.Feelgood, Uriah Heep, Jon Amor Blues Band, Michael Katon, Solstice and Hawkwind.
Cold Flame have both individually and collectively featured and been responsible for major private functions throughout the Midlands and the North of England working alongside some of the top music promoters in the U.K. in both indoor and outdoor settings including major hotel chains, sports clubs and stately homes. Clients are numerous and these bookings have given the band the opportunity to perform in front of large audiences as well as actively support both regional and national fund raising campaigns. Cold Flame are very proud of their support for worthwhile charities which has realized thousands of pounds for many areas of the local, regional and national community. They are a band who have also had some experience of television and continue to be involved in radio concert and interview broadcasts.
