The Band

Oh no - the Congeroo are back!!

Formed in 1995 by Gordon and Mike, the band became well known in Derbyshire for its' brand of "in-yer-face" R&B and gigged successfully until loosing its' bass player late in 98. Reformed in 2000 with Colin on bass, the Congeroo is again on the loose - so watch out!!

Gordon (guitar, vocals) - sometime guitar and classic car enthusiast, came to the Midlands with wide experience of gigging "darn sarth" in a variety of bands. Alternates between Yamaha SG1500 and his favourite Blonde Strat, brought to life by a wonderful (if rather battered) Orange overdrive amp. And Gordon also spent some years running his own recording studio which he is now busily rebuilding - so contact him if interested!

Mike (drums) - ex Duke la Rue drummer, Mike hates photos and publicity - but loves his Trak kit and Zildjians which sound just as sweet in this band as in the jazz band that he's also played in for much of the last 20 years. Say no more - Mike's wide experience results in some pretty hot playing whatever the style!

Colin (bass) - alias Luce Morell - one time accoustic Folk/Blues player and wild windsurfer, then turned his hand to playing bass, completing 3 years gigging with the HAT Band before joining the Congeroo last year. The name Luce (pron. "loose") came from earlier days at University running fluid movement light shows for visiting bands.
Now more at home with his Bass Collection 5 string and Trace stack, than his 6 string accoustic and Lodey wave board!
