Some Details...
Everything Everything have announced that 'Regret' will be the second single to be released before their forthcoming new album 'Get To Heaven'.
'Regret' received its exclusive first play from Annie Mac on her Radio 1 show as Hottest Record. Listen back here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGqL85qxs90
'Regret' epitomises the new album, an infectious gem which is already a fervent fan favourite from recent sold-out shows. Its relatively simple structure belies exceptional experimental musical elements and highlights the band’s focus on immediacy and impact whilst the depth and intelligence of this forward-thinking band’s take on the human condition are evident in the song’s lyrics.
This highly anticipated album from the Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello nominees was produced by Stuart Price (The Killers, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Madonna) and sees the band evolve still further, pushing and pulling themselves into different spaces and shapes from before.
Previous single 'Distant Past' was described by the NME as a “massive rave-up”, whilst The Times hailed it’s ”super-soaraway chorus”. It hit the A list at both Radio 1 and 6 Music, becoming one of the most played records at both of those stations in recent weeks. Alongside this the band recorded a session for Annie Mac at the BBC’s Maida Vale studios, where they played ‘Distant Past’, ‘To The Blade’ and ‘No Reptiles’.
