Flatline are a 5-piece band from Sheffield in the UK with their own unique sound - a fusion of rock, funk and grunge. They are currently in the process of writing and recording their debut album at Steelworks Studios, Sheffield with producer Dave Nesbitt.
Flatline formed in late 2005 out of the ashes of Drunknmunkyz and Ravenscar. Quickly finding their feet on the local gig circuit, during their first 18 months they firmly established themselves on the Sheffield Scene with headline performances at The Corporation, Plug and Boardwalk, as well as playing a whole host of gigs at other venues. The reception of the band and fan base continues to increase at each and every gig.
In mid-2007 the band entered the studio to begin work on their as-yet-untitled debut album. A preview of the first recording session can be heard in the form of 'I Don't Know' and 'Knockdown' (available on the above music player).
Late 2007 saw the band part ways with long-standing guitarist James Armitage. After much searching and many auditions, Joe Hearnshaw (Foe, The Child) was finally added to the line-up in Spring 2008.
The band were put on hiatus after the departure of James, but they are now back, with a new lineup and stacks of new material!
The band are busy scheduling gigs for the summer, after hopefully putting the finishing touches to their album in the spring. The album will be unleashed on the unsuspecting public later this year, with a preview-EP at the end of May to get you going - So Watch This Space...
