Gedling Borough Show – 4th September 2011 11am - 5pm. This is a FREE event.
Taking place at Richard Herrod Playing Fields, Foxhill Road, Carlton, Nottingham
This year’s central arena entertainment consists of The Long Eaton Militaires Marching Band, Jan Prymaka’s fantastic Birds of Prey and Meirion Owen and his Quack Pack.
The Horticultural Marquee will be open Friday afternoon and Saturday morning for exhibitors to bring and display their produce. Judging will take place in the marquee from 12.00 mid-day on Saturday and will have free entry to the public on Sunday. If you would like to enter any of the 100 classes, please contact this office for a Horticultural Schedule or from mid March they will be available to download from this page. There are also several specifically designed classes for Children.
The Classic Car & Motorbike Show will commence at 11.00am and already we have plenty of vehicles to put on a good show. If you are a classic car/motorbike owner and would like to attend, please complete and return the attached application form. Places are limited and show plaques will be presented by the Mayor of Gedling at 4.14pm. download
Sunday’s Fun Dog Show starts at 1.30pm with the first class and registration commences from 11.00am. This year there are 6 classes as follows:
Most Handsome Dog – Waggiest Tail – Most Appealing Eyes – Prettiest Bitch – Best Rescue Dog – Best Condition
If you would like to complete the registration form beforehand, please download the details here. Please note that class sizes are limited and a place is only guaranteed when the registration process has been completed on the day. Unfortunately, we cannot take registration slips before the Show. All proceeds will go to the Mayor of Gedling’s chosen Charity within the Gedling area.

If you would like an application form for a Charity Stall, you must be a registered Charity. To apply for a craft stall, all goods must be made by yourself and not “bought in” and the organiser reserves the right to restrict categories to ensure a wide selection of quality goods.
