The second in a five part trilogy of Mrs Brown plays
Following the success and popularity of the TV comedy series, Mrs Brown’s Boys, Brendan O’Carroll returns to the stage to present Good Mourning Mrs Brown.
Loved and applauded for its satirical Irish humour, The Mrs Brown’s Boys made its debut on BBC One in February and proved an automatic ratings-smash for Mrs Agnes Brown. Its infectious style of satire is a hedonistic cocktail of ‘Father Ted meets The Royale Family’.
The brainchild of writer, creator and star of the show Brendan O’Carroll (Mrs Brown in character) who first breathed life into widower Mrs Agnes Brown back in 1990 for Irish radio, the series ran for three years with over 500 episodes thus immortalising Agnes into Irish folklore.
