ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
FAT DIGESTER
Fat Digester are a music based collective that at times include dancers, rappers and visual artists. They fuse fun and social comment in a blend of Jazz, Funk, and Hip Hop. They are veterans of the Nottingham music scene. A dynamic live act, they've been gigging around the city for five years and have built up quite a reputation for themselves. Left Lion http://www.myspace.com/fatdigester
YUNIOSHI
Selected by BBC Introducing as one of the hottest emerging talents from the UK "Think Beck dry humping the Flaming Lips with the robot from Lost In Space looking on and filming all the action for his own personal collection. The perfect pop band. They're as catchy as hell." Leftlion Magazine http://www.myspace.com/yunioshi
JIMMY THE SQUIRREL
Jimmy the Squirrel is a 5 piece band from London and Nottingham, taking influences from ska, punk and reggae bands from all over the world. The band's sound has evolved through punk and ska into a stripped down ska/reggae sound in the vein of Bedouin Soundclash, and the King Blues. http://www.myspace.com/jimmythesquirrel
THE WOODLAND RAPE FANTASY
"Spazzcore Jazz metal likely lads from the Northeast influences such as Chang, Nirvana, Pixies, At The Drive In, 80's Matchbox, DFA 1979, sounds like a Jack Russell chewing up a 30 year old's CD collection" http://www.myspace.com/thewoodlandrapefantasy
MuHa
MuHa’s songs have melodic beauty of Russian/Ukrainian folklore and in a clear sound of this acoustic band you will hear African berimbau, Indian rhythm Kathak, Irish fiddle, Cuban groove, English blues harmonica and a jew’s harp- an instrument used in many cultures all over the world. The unique voice of the singer Iryna Muha mesmerizes with the authentic feeling of the Eastern European tradition. Performances include: Riverside fesival 2009, Nottingham; First Polish FestiWal 2009, Nottingham; Leamington Peace festival, 2009, Leamington Spa; Sunrise Celebration festival 2008, Glastonbury; City Roots Festival, 2008 http://muha.co.uk/
MADE OF LEAVES
A warm embracing racket. Autumn with bits of orange sun. Early hours with litter in swirly winds. Made of Leaves are a Nottingham-based 5 piece rock band with a fondness for creating washes of musical texture from minimalistic arrangements that are meant both for the heart and the head. http://www.myspace.com/madeofleaves
DEATH BY AUDIO
"If ever a band picked the right name, it’s these. Does exactly what you expect, which is heavy, guitar laden riffs thrown at you with unrelenting pace, screaming guitar solo’s and vocals delivered all shouty and with ‘meaning’. If you like your Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal and the like then you should find good listening to here." Jim Johnston http://www.myspace.com/deathbyaudiouk
WE WERE FRIENDS
"Their raw-as-onions, stripped-down garage rock 'n' roll is like a caffeine injection into the jugular and is guaranteed to get you pogoing around your bedroom." Planet Sound http://www.myspace.com/we-were-friends

Overvibe have been voted unsigned band of the week on London’s Xfm http://www.myspace.com/overvibe
RED SHOE DIARIES
"Nottingham’s very own shoe-gazer indie band who go for subtlety over all out rock. These guys (and gal) definitely know what they’re doing and love what they do and that is bringing chilled, Belle and Sebastian inspired tunes to folks who'll gladly pay to listen." Leftlion http://www.myspace.com/redshoediariesmusic

"Original pirate material from nautical notts sending the bawdy sound of sea men on a one way tsunami into your ears" http://www.myspace.com/seasofmirth

ALEX TOWNSEND
"What would happen if John Mayer, John Butler, Damien Rice and Jason Mraz had a fourway and didn't use protection. OR If Hippos had grown opposable thumbs and actually become quite talented at playing the guitar!" http://www.myspace.com/alextownsendmusica
