LIVE AT GLEE
THURSDAY 17 FEBRUARY
UNMISSABLE STAND-UP FROM LIVE AT THE APOLLO STAR JON RICHARDSON
Jon Richardson - Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, regular Have I Got News For You panellist and star of Live At The Apollo - will be taking his new show 'Its Not Me, Its You' across the UK in 2011, stopping off at the Nottingham Glee Club on Thursday 17 February.
With a sell out run at the Edinburgh Fringe behind him, 'Its Not Me, Its You' sees everyones favourite grumpy young man return to the stage. Embracing his misanthropy, the show features the best bits from his critically acclaimed Edinburgh show Dont Happy Be Worry as well as some brand new material.
Discussing the everyday items that have a profound effect on his outlook, Richardson takes his audience on an eclectic journey from cheating footballers to decapitated alligators. 'Its Not Me, Its You' sees Jon working his pessimism with some hilarious consequences, and as always with his loveable vivacious delivery. It is also the name of Jons highly anticipated first self penned book, which is set for release in May 2011.
Away from the live stage Jon is massively in demand on TV with recent credits including; Have I Got News For You (BBC One), 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Michael McIntyres Comedy Roadshow (BBC One), Nevermind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Grumpy Young Men (Comedy Central), Richard Bacons Beer And Pizza Club (ITV4), The Bubble (BBC Two), Walk on the Wild Side (BBC Two) and latterly the sixth series of Live At The Apollo (BBC One).
Jon has also made appearances on numerous radio shows, including And the Winner is (BBC Radio 2, hosted by Matt Lucas), Act Your Age (BBC Radio 4) and The Museum of Curiosity (Radio 4), whilst being a regular contributor on Five Lives Fighting Talk. He has also hosted his own Sunday morning radio show on BBC6 Music.
A regular on the stand-up circuit, Jon has recently returned from performing to sell out audiences at the 2010 Melbourne Comedy Festival. His first gig was in 2003 where he won his heat of the BBC New Comedy Talent Search. After completing a 60 date UK with Alan Carr in 2006, Jon won Best Breakthrough Act at the 2007 Chortle Awards and went on to receive a Best Newcomer nomination for his show Spatula Pad at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This was followed in 2008 with a successful Edinburgh run of his second solo show Dogmatic and a subsequent Edinburgh Comedy Award best show nomination in 2009 for his third Edinburgh show, This Guy at Night.
