Jonny Awsum: ‘Honey I Promised the Kid’
Britians Got talent Star Jonny Awsum will be bringing his hit show ‘Honey I Promised the Kid’, to the Canalhouse in Nottingham, as part of his UK mini Tour, this November 5th 2017

Jonny Awsum promised his daughter he’d play live on stage at the O2. It wasn’t as easy as he’d hoped. Did he do it? Thousands of people visiting the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August were lucky enough to find out for themselves, at his show 'Honey I Promised the Kid' - where Jonny played to sold out rooms daily, and received fantastic press reviews.
The show did so well, with demand so high, that Jonny has been on a short tour of the UK this Autumn, including sold out performances at Manchester’s iconic Comedy Club, the Frog & Bucket on the 24th September, and London’s Leicester Square Theatre on the 25th September. Jonny wil take to the stage at the Canalhouse in Nottingham on the 5th November, as part of the city’s annual Comedy Festival.

Jonny Awsum’s feel-good brand of musical-comedy has seen him rise to be one of the most sought after headline acts on the UK circuit. Jonny is a comedic whirlwind, the gag slinging guitar hero - audience members don’t just leave entertained, they leave as fans. He has played to our Armed Troops abroad, to nationwide theatres as part of Master Baker Paul Hollywood’s nationwide Tour, and in 2016 supported Jason Manford on his 'Best Of' UK Tour.
Jonny was a huge hit on the UK’s biggest television talent competition Britains Got Talent this season, after roping in Ant and Dec for his musical extravaganza audition. He received four 'yeses' from the judges under a shower of silver confetti and huge praise, they thought his musical comedy performance was "brilliant" and propelled him to the next round. He was chosen to proceed to the Live Semi Finals, which saw an incredible performance with David Walliams. Jonny loved the whole experience, and his profile received a well earned boost.
