SFor almost 30 years Just the Tonic have consistently been bringing the best of new and established comedy to Nottingham City Centre. Starting as a Sunday night comedy club at The Old Vic (now called Das Kinos), their present residency is every Saturday at Metronome, a state of the art 220 capacity venue near Sneinton Market.

Due to the phenomenal success of Just the Tonic along with the high standards of the venue, demand has been so great that from 30th September 2023 there will be 2 shows each night, one at 7pm and a second at 9pm. This has allowed Just the Tonic to get even better line ups for the months ahead.

Every week, you'll be treated to a lineup of four acts, featuring the finest comperes and headliners from both the UK and international scenes.

But it's not just bricks and mortar; it also leaves a mark at prestigious festivals, including the Leicester Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Festival. Their stages have been graced by comedic heavyweights like Ricky Gervais, Al Murray, Bill Bailey, Stewart Lee and many more.

Scott Bennett – Expect sharply written routines from this Nottingham based, award-winning comic, as seen on Live at the Apollo BBC1, BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz He also featured on the BBC One show, Live from The Edinburgh Fringe. He has also supported the likes of Rob Brydon, Jason Manford, John Bishop and Michael McIntyre on tour.

Aurie Styla – Having started stand-up comedy back in 2010, Aurie has tirelessly honed his craft and his likeable charisma has earned him fans in the thousands.
His TV credits include Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club (ITV), Don’t Hate The Playaz (ITV) and Mo Gilligan’s Black British & Funny documentary (C4). He has also worked extensively with comedy streaming platform NextUp.
