After winning Towersey Village Festival Song Slam in 2009, Marc was booked for Towersey ’10, and has been getting himself noticed at folk clubs and festivals, performing a pleasing mélange of original songs, traditional folk and contemporary covers. Drawing on many years of busking and playing intimate acoustic settings, he is equally at home soul-baring with his own emotionally honest songs, doing Dylan on the Bodhrán, or singing unaccompanied Trad. He is proud to be a tree-hugging Radical Faerie, which informs his style, while in no way defining it. He has recently played support slots to Tom McConville & David Newey and Dave Swarbrick, and has been heard on Radio 3’s Late Junction.
Marc also gigs regularly around Nottingham with his band The Breezes, peddling “jaunty acoustipop with an earthy vibe”.
