Monroe is an outstanding acoustic duo featuring soulful female vocals and intricate, refined acoustic guitar. Their repertoire includes a huge range of well-known pop, rock, blues, soul and jazz songs spanning the last 6 decades
Vocalist-Polly
Polly has a extensive background in classical and contemporary music. She studied vocals at Leicester College and has performed with a huge range of live acts, from live funk and soul bands to hip-hop and beatbox vocal groups. She will be featuring on an upcoming album by British hip-hop artist Genesis Elijah this summer, and is currently working on a collection of her own acoustic music.
Guitarist - Ian
Ian studied guitar at Leeds College of Music and has been working as a professional musician for the last 15 years. He has played on albums for artists such as Errol Brown, David Benoit, Down to the Bone and Roger Sanchez. Live Ian has worked with top American jazz musicians Reuben Wilson and Eddie Henderson and UK vibraphonist Alan Randall.
