NCF Comedy Nights return at the Canalhouse in Nottingham on Wednesday 1st February. At a new bargain price of £3 (in adv).
Bringing some of the circuits top up-and-coming acts, the NCF comedy night is always great fun, and you never know you could be watching the next big thing!
Also featuring the Castle Rock ‘Brand New To Comedy’ competition. Giving members of the public a chance to have a go at comedy and go through to a grand final during the Nottingham Comedy Festival. Compered by the 2010 winner, Carl Jones and headlined by the brilliant Will Duggan.
Carl Jones – Our new resident compere started out on the circuit in September 2010 and has quickly established himself as one of the strongest new acts in the Midlands.
Winning the Nottingham Comedy Festival ‘Brand New to Comedy’ competition after just a handful of gigs, he’s gone on to reach the semi finals of Amused Moose Laugh Off 2011, win both Manchester and Preston ‘Beat the Frog’ competitions at the first attempt and perform as part of Amused Moose’s Hot Starlets programme of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He’s also performed weekend open spots at Glee Club, Nottingham and Jongleurs, Nottingham.
In his first 100 gigs alone, he’s performed on the same bill as some of the UK’s finest comedians including Patrick Monahan, Mark Dolan, Josh Widdicombe, Isy Suttie, Alun Cochrane, Paul Chowdhry and Gary Delaney.

Will Duggan – back by popular demand. Will Duggan has performed at various NCF Comedy Nights and has always gone down so well that the audience ask when he’ll be back. He’s only been on the circuit for a few years but has progressed quickly up the ladder and is already headlining small clubs around the country.
