BEESTON ANNOUNCES FIRST EVER OXJAM TAKEOVER.
An independent quirky and eclectic music and arts festival, the Oxjam Beeston takeover will raise funds for Oxfam and will be Beeston's first ever music festival.

This year, Beeston will play host to a Takeover event for the first time ever, aiming to raise £4,000 for Oxfam. Taking place on 22nd October 2011 between 12pm – 11.30pm the amazing multi-venue one-wrist-band-gives-access-to-all-venues festival will showcase local talent from across the arts world. Up and coming Jazz-pop band Miss 600 will be joined by Nottingham's teenage indie rock heirs Great British Weather, already on the radar of the national music press, 'Their sound has blossomed...into a post-punk math rock behemoth of exceptional proportions.' - Drowned in Sound. Joining them will be Tatebuds, folk favourites Pesky Alligator, along with surprise acts still be announced and an eclectic mix of local acts. (For the full line-up check the website listed below).

In addition to live music we promise you a heady mix of Spoken Word Poetry courtesy of, DIY Poets, Left Lion and the Nottingham Writers Society in addition to comedy presented by Miss Imp and film screenings at Frenchy’s Ice Cream Parlour.

Adult Tickets are £5 for which includes entry to all wrist-band entry venues across the day. They’ll be a special U18 venue at Barton House details to be confirmed.
