Platform-Central is a very simple concept:
To promote young, original musical talent on regular basis
In an organised, professional manner
In a safe environment with superb facilities
With mutual support & respect between all the Acts concerned
On a Not-For-Profit basis*
The Beginnings.....
It all came about when a group of parents chatting at a local music venue realised that there wern't any well organised events that young musical writers and performers could get decent exposure.
After couple of meetings with the Venue and great ideas from all concerned, Platform-Central was born.
So,here we are! We're brand new, our first gig is Sunday 12th September, we think we've got a great concept but we need your help.
We need:
Great young original Acts - Acoustic to rock bands.
School Promoters - To help us get the word out in your area.
Music Teachers - There's a ton of talent out there having lessons with you, we need to see it, you need to see it grow!
Supportive Parents - Come along, support your kids and be surprised at their talent and enjoy them getting appreciation from a great audience.
Press & Media - We really need you to get our story out to reach a wide audience of Acts. You never know, we might have a future major act for you to discover.
Musician Mentors - These kids need your help and experience to hone their songwriting, performance and recordings. Invest in the future!
