PRIDE’S PREMIER COMEDY NIGHT COMES TO TOWN
SOME of Britain’s best up-and-coming comedians are descending on Jongleurs comedy club this weekend to help raise money for local charities.
The comedy venue is playing host to the first Nottinghamshire Pride Christmas Comedy Night which takes place this Sunday (December 18)
The bill is packed full of a wealth of comedy talent, including Robert White, Andrew O’Neil and Topping and Butch.
Comedian Andrew O’Neil has impressed critics, including The Guardian who in a recent review said: “his inventive skill with language really is at times on par with the best of Peep Show and The Day Today ”.
The event is being held to help raise money for some of the charities proudly supported by Nottinghamshire Pride. These include Nottingham and Lesbian Switchboard, Outburst, Wow and Re-Creation.
Pride Chair Angela Barker said: “It’s going to be a fantastic night. Not only will there be a lot of laughs but we’ll also be raising money for good causes that really rely on our support.
Tickets cost £10 in advance or £15 on the door. A two-course meal is also available, with tickets costing £20 in advance or £25 on the door.
