Nottingham date for sardonic stand-up and prolific TV writer Simon Evans
Comedian and writer Simon Evans embarks on his debut solo tour this Spring with a stop-off in Nottingham on Thursday 09 June.
The star of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), The News Quiz (BBC Radio 4) and Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live (BBC3) brings his trademark razor-sharp ironic wit to the fore with the critically-acclaimed ‘Fringe Magnet’.
Evans is in high demand as a writer and has collaborated with the likes of Dara O Briain, Sean Lock, Jimmy Carr and Marcus Brigstocke. Radio and TV writing credits including 8 Out of 10 Cats (C4), The Odd Half Hour (BBC Radio 4) and Would I Lie to You? (C4), while he’s also one of the main writers on Lee Mack’s hit BBC1 sitcom Not Going Out and supported Mack on his recent 106 date UK tour.
In 2005 Evans was honoured as one of only three British comics invited to perform at the prestigious Aspen Comedy Festival, alongside Stewart Lee and Eddie Izzard.
