Some Details...

A magnificent day for all the family was thoroughly enjoyed by the sell out crowd for Splendour 2016. Sue & Reg from The Nottingham Gig Guide were there to capture some of the memorable moments with the crowd, staff and live performers.
There was something for everyone from comedy, alternate music/performance, fairground rides, merchandising, beer tents and of course the biggest line up of acts ever to be seen in Nottingham.
There was young rising talent across the 4 stages, established acts from years gone by and the latest UK chart toppers.
Highlights included “Stiff Little Fingers” with attitude and “The Darkness” strutting rock gods on The Confetti Stage. The Main Stage as ever was the most popular and the early evening sunshine was a great back drop for Brummie lads UB40 as the crowd sang along to an abundance of their reggae style hits. “The Human League” electronic 80’s sound brought back memories from the new romantic era but it was Jess Glynne who stole the show with both young and old getting into the groove as the whole of Wollaton Park jumped to the beat almost shaking Wollaton Hall to its foundations.
Here are just a few of the many pics from the crowd, staff and performers enjoying a great day out and am sure looking forward to Splendour 2017.
