Some Details...
PRESS RELEASE: 23rd November 2009
Fans of alternative and electronic music are in for a treat when three highly charged acts take to the stage in Nottingham on Wednesday 9th December.
Tenek, the Brighton-based electro-rock combo, and synth legend Louis Gordon will both be performing at Nottingham’s Bodega Social Club. Support is provided by local electro-pop duo Lost Controllers.
Doors open at 7pm, admission £3 on the door or from alt-tickets.co.uk
Here's some more about the acts:
TENEK is the latest project from Geoff Pinckney (currently touring with Mesh) and Peter Steer (formerly of Alien 6). Their electronic rock sound blends the emotion of Mesh with the danceable pop hooks of The Chemical Brothers.
They released their debut album “STATELESS” earlier this year to excellent reviews. Popular across Europe, their last single “SUBMISSION” reached no. 1 in the Dutch Underground Chart.
This year has seen them supporting The Human League and A Flock Of Seagulls as well as performing at the Pluswelt Festival in Germany and alongside Front 242 at the Summer Darkness Festival in Holland. Next year they are planning a major tour across much of Europe and Russia.

LOUIS GORDON is an English musician notable for his inspiring collaboration with synth pioneer John Foxx (founder of Ultravox) who he has worked with on a number of albums since 1995. He predominantly plays keyboards and is a seriously influential artist in his own right.
His new album “ELECTRIC SHOCK TREATMENT” has recently been released on the Toffeetones record label.

LOST CONTROLLERS are Beeston-based synth-poppers Simon Akers and Svlad Cjelli and have been performing live around the region since the spring. They are currently recording their debut album and their first single “YOUR WORLD” is due to be released in December.

DJing for the evening will be THE NEW SOUND OF JEZ - the product of one man, a massive electronic music collection and a lap-top. Expect to be taken somewhere far away with his choice selection of synth-driven soundtracks and to be brought back to earth with some classic electro favourites.
