Tiwkilin in Concert. An exciting and original French-Algerian duo dive into the magical world of ancient Moroccan Berber musical traditions.
An eclectic affair entwining the sometimes stately, sometimes wildly rhythmic percussion of Nora Abdoun (bendir frame drum, tabl drum, darbouka goblet drum, iron krakeb castanets) and the powerful ancient- echoing vocals of award winning singer Iness Mezel. Songs are sung in Tamazight, the language of a 2,000 year old culture striving to be kept alive. The songs reflect the melting pot of world music. You can hear the timeless majesty and space of the Maghreb mountains and desert in every note.
