Some Details...

Trevor started his musical career as a member of “The Rebels” Skiffle group in 1958. By 1961 he was touring American army bases in France as lead guitarist with “The Pontiacs” with whom he also played at the famous 2 1’s Coffee Bar in London’s old Compton St, where many of the better known stars of the day including Tommy Steel and Cliff Richard made their debuts. In 1965 his new band “Dawn and The Dee-Jays” recorded a single written by Trevor which was released by RCA records, same label as Elvis! 2 of the session musicians hired to assist were Jim Sullivan, lead guitarist for many years with “Tom Jones” and “Jimmy Page” who later went on to form “Led Zeppelin”. In 1969 he was recruited into a group in his home town Grantham called “Gingerbread” in the capacity of bass guitarist. Gingerbread were regularly featured on BBC radio 1 on shows hosted by the likes of Terry Wogan, Jimmy Young and Tony Blackburn. After completing 2 seasons in Douglas , Isle of Man with Gingerbread Trevor went on to St. Helier in Jersey where he worked on a show alongside “The Merseybeats”. It was soon after this a vacancy arose as bass player with The Merseybeats and Trevor was invited to take up the post.
In 1974 after a couple of very enjoyable years with the band he decided to embark on a solo career. Since then he has chalked up a remarkable CV, working on shows with ELO and Ken Dodd, to name just two from a very long list. As well as his excellent solo vocals and solo work on the guitar he can also give out plenty of comedy patter where required. He has now completed well over 50 years in entertainment and has absolutely no intention of retiring from the business. He has revelled in the business since day one!
