Whiskey Mama play the sort of classic rock you want to hear when you're out!
It's a kind of homage to all that great music which came out of flower power in '67 until around '73 or '74
when it all got a bit huge and glamorous, you might say.
Not that we've got anything against what came after, but don't expect us to mix it up too much.
Whiskey Mama want to entertain you, get you up on the floor,
singing along or just nodding your head in quiet appreciation for songs from the 'greatest era' in rock and roll history.
Originally formed to cover great songs from UK heritage like Free, Cream, Fleetwood Mac,
it soon became obvious that there was too much great material from the US of A,
some which is not that well known, which had to be included in the set;
Cactus, Johnny Winter, Grand Funk Railroad, Chicago, it all had to be there.
We are all pretty well seasoned in music; can play and love to play,
but probably most of all is the love of rock which creates the vibe when playing live.
Whether it's funky Jeff Beck style or hard rocking Zeppelin or bluesy Deep Purple,
we hope you will appreciate what we are up for and can come and share your time with us for a great Whiskey Mama time!!
