Great comedy comes to Awsworth

Magners Funhouse Comedy , one of the biggest promoters across the UK, have put together a high-quality bill of stand-up comedy at Awsworth Parish Hall on Saturday 2nd April 2011, including two headline standard acts.


Opening the night is the astonishing master of props and gags, Wes Zaharuk. Canadian-born, Wes is a much-in-demand international comic whose mix of amazing props and astonishing tricks is, whilst hard to define, always hilarious. He is without doubt currently one of the circuit’s must- see acts.
The night also features the loveable larger-than-life Bradford lad, Ben Schofield. A regular at all the big national clubs, Ben’s humour ranges from silly voices to impersonations, topical stories to warm-hearted, hilarious tales of his childhood. The BBC described his act as “ a sure winner with the crowd..a set of brilliant stand-up comedy.”
In support two up-and-coming acts , including Chris Richmond and the quickfire joke-teller Chris Norton Walker, and the whole evening will be compered by the affable Derby funnyman Pete Smith.
