Paul Chowdry at The Glee ClubDate: Thur 4th Oct Time: 19:00 Top stand-up Paul Chowdhry asks 'What's Happening White People?' One of comedy's hottest properties brings his brand new solo show to Glee Club Nottingham on Thursday 04 October. Regular star of Channel 4's Stand Up for the Week, Paul Chowdhry hits the road with the provocatively titled What’s Happening White People? With over 3 million YouTube hits to his name, he's seen by many as the UK's number one Asian comic. However, Paul said: "I see myself as a comedian who happens to be Indian. Not an Indian comedian. It’s hard to lecture people but easier to break down barriers by making people laugh." Taking inspiration from stand-up legends such as George Carlin, Richard Pryor and Sam Kinison, Chowdhry's highly charged dry observational humour taps into the multicultural diversity of contemporary Britain. Glee Club comedy promoter Duncan Burns said: "This could be one of the last chances to see Paul Chowdhry in a proper comedy venue. He played our V Festival tents in 2011 and absolutely stormed it. A top comic, ready for the big time and it's a great pleasure to bring him on tour to Nottingham." Show: Paul Chowdhry - What's Happening White People?
