Totally Enormous Extint Dinosaurs at Rock City

With his debut LP “Trouble”, Orlando Higginbottom, aka Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, carved out a singular path as one of the most formidable new talents of electronic music, creating an album which was endlessly innovative and idiosyncratic even as it crossed, effortlessly, over into the mainstream. Entering the midweeks in the top 15 and number 5 in the iTunes album chart (plus a position at the very top of the Electronic iTunes chart), it heralded the arrival of a true pop star in the making.

Now comes the release of one of album’s undisputed highlights. The floor shaker “Household Goods”, which submerges its lovelorn but oddball sentiments (“forgive me if I’m wrong, but you look shit all alone/ so give me a shot/ ‘cause I could be the dog to your bone, or something”) in a sea of haywire synths, classic house chords and infectious beats to euphoric effect, encapsulating in just 3 odd minutes why TEED are a class apart.

Originally released on Greco-Roman in 2010, now an anthem in the live show, and a track that helped put the emerging TEED on the map, ‘Household Goods’ has a bundle of new remixes to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Make sure too, not to miss TEED as he plays a slew of festivals across the summer, followed by his own tour of the UK in October, including a London headline gig at Shepherds Bush Empire. Full dates below.
