Enjoy chilling out with the Shipstone Street Jazz Orchestra in the unique and inspiring setting of Nottinghamshire Libraries
A community-based Big Band that rehearses in a pub barely a trombone’s reach from a famous Nottingham brewery take to the stage in May 2013. The Shipstone Street Jazz Orchestra (SSJO) plays a galaxy of familiar jazz tunes and standards
from dates between the 1930s and 1970s. Around half of them feature the exceptional vocalist Sarah Simmonds, including standards such as God Bless the Child and Blue Velvet. Sarah’s musical career includes world tours as part of the famous Swingle Singers.
