The most extravagant variety show Nottingham has ever seen - The Gilded Merkin - is making a welcome return to Glee Club Nottingham, Sunday 3rd November 2013. Dress to impress and join the fun for an evening of glamour, comedy, music and more!

Compering us through this extravaganza will be the demonising, hypnotising and mesmerising Desmond O'Connor. An internationally renowned and award winning composer, lyricist and performer with over twenty years experience in cabaret, comedy and musical theatre. His work as co-creator of Scott Mills The Musical for Radio 1, combined with presenting for MTV at Bestival and The Big Chill have furthered his status as one of the biggest names on the UK music and cabaret circuit.

Heading up the star-studded bill, part Burlesque starlet, part innovative performance artiste and all dreamer, 2013 marks Vicky Butterfly's tenth year in burlesque. Her unique ethereal and erotic style has taken her around the world from the theatres of London and Paris to the film sets of Bollywood and beaches of Bali via the palazzos of Venice and the Monaco Grand Prix.

Glaswegian born headliner Beau Rocks is reminiscent of a Vargas pin-up girl with a cute sass, flirty smile and an unmistakably naughty sparkle in her eye. Now, a well established performer both in the UK and internationally, Beau continues to delight audiences with her effervescently raunchy style and onstage presence. A heady cocktail of 1950's bombshell and classic Rock chick, Missy Malone returns for a star turn at this Gilded Merkin. As an already established actress and model she also commands an impressive list of skills and talents ranging from traditional fan dance to striptease and is trained in both static trapeze and stilt walking!

Also featuring the saucy, snappy and very silly Snappy O'Shea. Snappy lists her heroes as Lucille Ball, Betty Grable, Joan Rivers and Miss Piggy and this certainly shows! Her style is largely comic, sometimes ridiculous and frequently bawdy, often relying on audience participation and a healthy dose of mischief! Also welcoming The Tom Show - quite simply a nice boy who does mad things. No other performer mixes high skill stunts, dead pan humour and a touch of the surreal in the same unique way.

All overseen by Scarlett Daggers, the one who makes all this possible... the lady behind the Merkin. This Rock'N'Roll redhead will get you hot under the collar with her sizzling stage presence and smouldering gaze, not to mention the fact that she plays with fire! From a Hot Rod greaser-girl to a B movie Cobra Queen, Scarlett Daggers' unique acts certainly make her stand out from the crowd.

Scarlett promises this will be "The biggest burlesque and cabaret extravaganza in Nottingham. Featuring only the very best international headline acts."
