Intending to make a “bigger party” with this, his fifth record, he enlisted the help of super producer Jimmy Hogarth – a rhythm and blues fan with writing and production credits on countless monster-smashes by the likes of Amy Winehouse, James Morrison and Corrine Bailey Rae.

Son of Dave – Benjamin Darvill made his name as a one-man band with a harmonica, a shaker, his voice, a stomping foot and a looping pedal. Beats de la bouche and a trunk-load of funk. Taking this show on the road, Son of Dave plays Bestival and Festival Number 6, appearing on the BBC 6Music stage. Son of Dave hits the road in November for a full UK tour.
