Gig and Entertainment Guide for Nottinghamshire

60's Gold Concert at Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall

Date: Tue 25th Nov
Time: 19:30

Featuring The Pacemakers; the first ever band to top the charts with their initial three singles. The Searchers debut went to Number 1 and led to five Top 5 hits and a total of 128 weeks in the charts, while P.J Proby spent 91 weeks there also. The Fortunes made the Top 10 with You've Got Your Troubles, and Storm in a Teacup, while Brian Poole and Chip Hawkes showcase the very best of The Tremeloes.

We regret to inform everyone that owing to a serious medical condition, Gerry Marsden has been forced to withdraw from the Sixties Gold tour. However The Pacemakers will still be appearing.

We are delighted to announce that Spencer Davis is to replace Gerry. Spencer Davis boasts a string of hits from 1964 to 1968 including the No.1s "Keep On Running" and"Somebody Help Me" as well as the Top 10 hits "Gimme Some Loving" and "I'm A Man"

The line-up for Sixties Gold will now be:
The Searchers, Spencer Davis, P.J. Proby, The Pacemakers, The Fortunes & Brian Poole & Chip Hawkes.
