Nottingham Youth Orchestra's November concert

It is 30 years since Nottingham Youth Orchestra was formed and we are celebrating! Join us for this delightful concert which begins our 2015/2016 Anniversary season. The programme of music is as follows:
Grieg – Piano Concerto and Peer Gynt Suites
Branco – Suite Alentejana No 1
Bartok – Hungarian Sketches

Our guest conductor, Jan Wierzba, is one of the most promising conductors of the Portugese music scene. As a scholar for the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, he completed his Masters in Conducting at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, tutored by Clark Rundell and Mark Heron. Pianist Iyad Sughayer was born in Amman, Jordan. He is continuing his piano studies at the Royal Northern College of Music with Dr. Murray McLachlan. Iyad has performed recitals and concerts across the Middle East and Europe. For more information go to https://www.facebook.com/iyadsughayerpianist
