Hellbent Forever at The Jesse BootDate: Sat 23rd Jan Time: 20:00 ***LATEST UPDATE*** The Greyhound will finally open again Wednesday 20th Jan 2016 at noon having been closed since the beginning of the year. It's a holding company that's looking after the place for now until someone can be found to take it on or if no-one is willing then the brewery will be looking at selling the land for redevelopment. I've been asked by the holding company to sort out some bands for the Saturday nights for the next couple of months but they are limited on cost for a band for now to see if it's worth putting the music back on. Hopefully this will be increased once things improve and we'll be able to book Friday's as well and start getting some of the bigger bands back. For now this is what I have to work with but I'll let you know more as soon as things change. There are some amazing bands that have already offered to help us out and I'm sorting more out as we speak. This is about getting bands that will pull a big crowd for not a great amount of money so please leave the egos out of this, sorry but it's simple, if we can't FILL the pub for all the bands each Saturday then we loose it. I'm going to need a lot of help to do this and even more to get the word out. If you really want to see the Greyhound continue as a live music venue then it's down to all of us to make it happen. We need everyone to pull together and make sure EVERYONE sees this and acts. It's now or never guys, really. If we don't show our support here at The Greyhound for live music we will loose it forever! Rob B FIRST BAND FOR ALL YOU ROCKTASTIC HOUNDERS IS: SATURDAY 23rd January. HELLBENT FOREVER. Although HELLBENT FOREVER hasn't been around too long all the members have been active in the bands for many, many years and are well experienced in treading the boards at your local venue and like a considerate lover they knows how to tickle the bits you need tickling. To cut a long story short They've been around the block once or twice but don't worry, there's still plenty of tread left on the tyres....Anyhoo, this young band has been gigged on a few occasions around the country to very positive feedback, well they keep getting re-book and by their own admission they admit they were awesome...Leather, studs, energy, lots of priest tunes and the occasional Spinal tap-esque stage moment make for a fun, fun, fun night for all concerned.... Band on stage at 10pm. FREE ADMISSION. The Jesse BootHigh RoadBeeston Nottingham NG9 2LE (more) Would you like to see more information about The Jesse Boot?
