Bunkers Hill hosts Nottingham’s The Fab Two, Beatles tribute, for disappointed fans!

Bunkers Hill in Hockley is situated next door to the Motorpoint arena and until last week was prepared to welcome Beatles fans to the city to attend The Sessions At Abbey Road- a live re-staging of the Beatles at Abbey Road Studios. That is until it was suddenly postponed 12 months until Spring 2017.

The Sessions At Abbey Road was due to embark on an eleven-date UK Arena Tour and land at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on Wednesday 4th May.

Because thousands of Beatles fans will be left with nothing to do next Wednesday, Bunkers Hill has booked a local Beatles group to entertain any disappointed visitors to the city.

Licensee Nicky Onorati says ”Whenever the arena cancel an event we still get a few stragglers through the door who didn’t receive the email or who maybe weren’t notified in time and they’re always gutted when we tell them the show is cancelled.

“Also a lot of people will travel from out of town and so will book hotels and have the next day off work- in the hope that a few people will keep there reservations and travel to Nottingham anyway next Wednesday we want to make sure they are suitable entertained.”

The Fab Two will play from 9pm and will be absolutely free. The event is advertised in the pub, on Bunkers Hill’s Facebook page and on their website. The pub closes for a major refurbishment end of May and is likely to be closed for three weeks.
