The Oxjam Beeston Takeover is back! Oxjam is the UK's largest music festival, taking place over the whole month of October. It's made up of hundreds of events happening all around the country, all organised by volunteers. Beeston, a thriving community on the outskirts of Nottingham, has been hosting an Oxjam Takeover since 2011, and it has been getting bigger and bigger ever since, becoming an iconic event for our town. Last year, we raised £17,050 for Oxfam, which is more money than any other Oxjam event in the UK. We are fundraising for Oxfam, a global charity committed to ending poverty worldwide through emergency response, development work and campaigning for change. Last year, 3.9 million people have been reached by health promotion activities, 400,000 have benefited from support to improve their crops, goods or services and 1.4 million from improved sanitation facilities.
