Little Mix at Donington Park

Following on from last week’s announcement that LITTLE MIX will be headlining Donington Park on 1st July 2017, tickets went on sale yesterday morning (16/01) and have since seen thousands of fans secure tickets to see one of the country’s most in-demand live acts.

Celebrating their fifth week at the UK number one album spot with ‘Glory Days’, Donington Park has seen unprecedented demand from fans of the girl band, with tickets expected to sell out months ahead of the event.

‘We’re very pleased to be working together with Music+Sport and bringing Little Mix to the region. Our opening day’s sales have surpassed our initial expectations and have been very positive. The initial demand has been extremely encouraging for us all, so we would advise fans to purchase tickets sooner rather than later.’

Little Mix will perform their signature hits, including ‘Shout Out to My Ex’, ‘Black Magic’, 'Hair' and 'Wings', alongside tracks from their new album 'Glory Days'.

2016 was an incredible year for the band with another massive No.1 single 'Shout Out To My Ex', and their album 'Glory Days', shooting straight to No.1 on the Official Albums Chart. The record has spent a total of four weeks in the peak position and is the quickest selling album in the UK charts by a girl group since Destiny’s Child’s Survivor in 2001. It is also the longest-reigning girl group No.1 album of the millennium.

Donington Park is one of the UK’s most popular racing circuits. Situated in the centre of country in the East Midlands, it is the venue for exciting and prestigious events such as the FIM Superbike World Championship, British Superbike Championship and the British Touring Car Championship.

Donington Park is also an all-year-round venue for conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, product launches, private parties and much more. Historically known for hosting rock and metal music events, including the annual Download Festival, 2016 saw the park host the inaugural Donington Live concert which saw thousands descend for a fantastic evening with some of classical music’s biggest names. The announcement of Little Mix is a continuation of Donington Park’s plan to further expand their live music offerings in order to ensure that they have something for everyone to enjoy no matter of music taste in the Midlands.
