EQUITY 50TH ANNIVERSARY VARIETY SHOW at Beeston British LegionDate: Wed 18th Oct Time: 19:30 EQUITY 50TH ANNIVERSARY VARIETY SHOW 50th Anniversary of the coming together of the Variety Artists’ Federation and Equity and the founding of the East Midlands Variety Branch of Equity The East Midlands Variety Branch of Equity was formed 50 years ago this year, 2017. 1967 also marks the special moment in entertainment history when 2 trade unions, the Variety Artistes’ Federation (VAF) and the Actors’ Equity Association came together to form one union to represent and protect entertainers, actors and other creative professionals – the union now known as EQUITY To mark this anniversary and the founding of the East Midlands Variety Branch of Equity, entertainers from across the region are coming together to present a great Variety Show at Beeston British Legion (Cabaret Club) on Wednesday, 18th October, 2017. 12 artists, which includes, musicians, singers, guitar vocalists, world champion whistler, female comedienne, Blues Brothers tribute band and magicians will perform on this important night. Funds raised on the night will be donated to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Tickets for this super night’s entertainment cost £5 and will be available from the Beeston Club, Equity Branch members or on the door. Table magic from Stuart Magic, Roger Kirby and Dez Colona.
