Last Night of The Proms at Albert HallDate: Sun 25th Mar Time: 19:30 This Spring Spectacular charity concert features three well known Nottinghamshire music groups who will be performing a varied programme of music. Cantamus, Nottingham Youth Orchestra and Thoresby Colliery Brass Band will play individual sets before joining together for a finale of familiar, rousing pieces from Last Night of the Proms. The concert is part of a 6 year fundraising programme by the Freemasons to raise money for the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls & Boys. This charity primarily exists to help children who have suffered some form of distress in their lives, such as illness or bereavement. For the first time, on 9th June 2018, the Province of Nottinghamshire is planning to host a fun day for several thousand children and their families in the grounds of Kelham Hall. The funds raised by the concert will go directly to this event, when over 80 children’s charities which support Nottinghamshire families will be represented.
