There is plenty in this NYO concert to reflect the Viennese theme, following their tour to Vienna at the end of July. This post-tour concert presents a varied programme that is both celebratory and moving. The programme opens with Grieg’s Homage March and includes Britten’s Soirées Musicales, Mahler’s Blumine, and Neruda’s Trumpet Concerto with NYO's Libby Foxley as soloist. To complete the evening they will perform pieces by Johann Strauss; Voice of Spring, Thunder and Lighning Polka and Blue Danube.
