The Lastminutecomedy Club @ New Art Exchange, Nottingham

After promoting comedy around the UK and Europe for over a quarter of a century, the Lastminutecomedy Club finally have a Nottingham base and they're starting a show there like no other!
The monthly comedy night, which commences on Saturday March 2nd, is the first of its kind to take place in an art gallery anywhere in the United Kingdom and is also the first to highlight diversity on its bills.
This ground breaking new show will take place at the New Art Exchange on Gregory Boulevard – the home of contemporary minority art in the East Midlands. General manager Anita Kumari is excited about the new event “When we were approached to host this show we were very excited about it” she said.
Mastermind behind the event and resident MC, Paul B. Edwards, a former University of Nottingham student, is equally delighted to be bringing a new show to Nottingham and says “After moving back to the city of my youth three years ago I’ve been searching for the right place to start a comedy show – The fact that we’ve found a great venue with a very modern outlook is just terrific”. Paul was at primary school in Wilford until his father left the Nottingham Evening post to join Fleet Street in 1979. He added “Nottingham already has a wealth of brilliant comedy events so when we put this show together we wanted to offer something a bit different – I like to think we have!”
In addition to running this new night, Paul is also an award-winning podcaster, a new tour guide for the city and continues to run another monthly comedy show, in Oslo!
