Theatre Royal Heritage Open Day at Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall

This April, the Theatre Royal opens its doors for a very special FREE Heritage Open Day!

Celebrating both its unique history and the Heritage Lottery funded work that has taken place over the past two years, this event will be an opportunity to go behind the scenes with our backstage tours, as well as getting the chance to explore unique items from our archive, taking part in events in our foyer spaces and learning how we are now working to make our heritage more accessible to all.

Victorian-themed street theatre company, Circo Rum Ba Ba, will provide entertainment in the foyers, as well as some very special canine friends from last year’s Nottingham Puppet Festival.

Backstage Tours
There will be a number of backstage tours available running at regular intervals throughout the morning giving you a chance to see behind the scenes at our historic venue. These will not require any advanced booking – just turn up on the day.

We will also be running some accessible backstage tours for those with access requirements. Places are limited for these so we recommend booking in advance.
