The Hemlock Happening at Bramcote ParkDate: Sat 7th Jun Time: 13:00 All the fun happens at Bramcote Hills Park in full view of the Hemlock Stone. The festivities start at 1pm and end with a fireworks finale at 10:30pm. In between you can enjoy song, dance, drama, music and much more, all presented by lots of different people from schoolchildren to granddads and grandmas. Food and drink, children’s fairground rides, archery… and lots of other activities that will keep you busy all day. And it’s all free. The Stage performances begin at 1:00pm. Here are some of the acts you can look forward to seeing… Nine local schools perform live: Frederick Harrison Infants William Lilley Infants Foxwood Stevenson Junior St. John’s C of E Bramcote C of E Bramcote Hills Sports and Community College George Spencer Foundation School and Technology College Bramcote Park Business and Enterprise School Community performances from: Stapleford Dance Academy Stapleford Youth Centre Dance Group Signal Hill Youth Band Our evening programme: ‘Ngoma’, a Zimbabwean band playing a stunning African Reggae set ‘Crisis’ playing a range of popular songs Beeston Musical Theatre Group jazz by the ever popular ‘Don Morrell’s Gin Mill Syncopators’ at 8.15 p.m. Our finale act for 2008 EARL JACKSON AND THE JAIL BREAKERS AT 9.30 p.m. At 10:30pm there is the Fantastic Firework Finale |
