Sun 24th
THE GREYHOUND INN CHARITY EVENT 2008
IN AID OF LINCS & NOTTS AIR AMBULANCE

After last year’s successful event, we decided to make the fundraising day an annual event.
For this year’s event we chose the Lincs&Notts Air Ambulance, as this is a service that anyone may need. The Air Ambulance is funded purely by donation. Only the paramedic team is funded by the N.H.S. The have recently completed their 10,000th rescue. Without fundraising events like this, the Air Ambulance wouldn’t be able to provide this vital service.
This year’s event is on a grander scale and as well as our usual Sunday afternoon jam session (3 – 6pm), we also have some great bands in the evening.
The Bands are: -
• Jester – classic rock/metal
• Phil Tanner’s Blues Dogs –Blues
• Loose Change –
• Another band T.B.C.

We also have an open-air acoustic stage featuring lots of the talented musicians who perform at our open mic night on Tuesdays, among others.
There is also going to be fire-eaters, a magician and jugglers as well as two talented face painters.

We will have a barbeque running for most of the day. There will be a number of different stalls, which will include hook-a-duck, car boot stalls, cake stalls, a tombola and a raffle.
There will be a children’s fancy dress competition in the afternoon, and an adult’s fancy dress competition in the evening.
On the Monday, we have rock and heavy metal bands playing all day, which has been organised by Mick and Kerry who run the annihilation heavy metal night on the last Thursday of every month, as well as the barbeque and stalls
