The Swiines promoting local live bands with 3 supports: The Swiines formed from members of two of Nottingham's favourite underground bands, The Arcane & The Bets. Both these bands met and gigged together on Nottingham’s underground live circuit and managed to generate a significant fan base and live following. From the very first meeting during a battle of the bands competition early on in their live careers, the rival groups developed strong mutual respect for one another’s music, and fought it out like gladiators in a hotly contested final showdown. The results of that contest only stiffened the resolve of both groups to carve out their niche, and when members of the the two groups finally came together a year or so later to form The Swiines, they hit the ground running with enough song writing and gig experience behind them to create a instant buzz in the rehearsal studio. After only three months as a band, that buzz and excitement and has lead to the creation of enough new and original material to begin gigging with a strong set of songs and a powerful live performance. http://www.myspace.com/theswiines
