The Lion Inn is located in New Basford next to Shipstone Street tram stop and Shipstone's Brewery. We are also ideally placed en-route to Nottingham city centre which is only about two miles away. This red brick building has been a pub since the late 1800's and has some very interesting features. These include a well indoors and you can have access to underground caves which make up our cellar. Today, this is a very popular traditional, one roomed pub with two bars and a real fire for the cold weather. Being well known for our quality real ales, live music and superb home cooked food we have a clientele to match our versatility. People come from the local community and much further afield to enjoy what we have to offer. Many customer visit to listen to the free varied live music which is played at the weekends. There is Live Jazz played on Sunday afternoons while you enjoy a Sunday lunch or quality pint. This is extremely popular so come early to avoid disappointment. The friendly team are awaiting your visit.
