When The Plough re opened under the local management of Bill and Will a few of us were keen to re start the open mike nights we used to hold there regularly. A few of us went down for the first night and there was good crowd in so we just got up and did our stuff. Everyone gets 3 songs or 15 minutes so there is a regular change of voices and styles. We all play a mixture of covers, some less well known than others, along with a few original songs as well.

New performers are always welcome and its a very friendly atmosphere, (as well as excellent beer!!) so if you fancy a go just come on down. The open mike nights are held every other Thursday throughout the year so if you come down on a Thursday and we are not there, dont worry we will all be on again in a weeks time.

On this site are a selection of songs from some of the regular performers, all recorded straight to a single mike just as they are performed. So if you are from Hickling or the surrounding villages and have hidden talent come and join us. You might even get a song up on this site!
